Grade 6

This strand allows students to explore the experience of at least two linguistic and cultural communities in Canada through the process of inquiry. Students will analyze the region's physical, social, and cultural characteristics to identify patterns and trends to explain the significant events that have contributed to the transformation of society as we know it today.

This strand allows students to explore, through the process of inquiry, an issue of international significance and to understand the political, social, economic, and environmental implications for the global community. Students will be able to explain and describe the importance of international cooperation, commitments, and meaningful actions of Canada and its citizens on the world stage.
