This strand allows students to develop strategies to understand a text better and distinguish its features and the forms of discourse. Through various processes, students will acquire and refine skills that will enable them to make critical judgments and translate their understanding.

This strand allows students to develop their French spelling skills through a rigorous five-step process of planning, drafting, revising, editing, and publishing, which can be used distinctly according to age, text genre, and writing situation. Through this writing process, students integrate different approaches, including the use of technological tools.

This strand allows students to develop their understanding and listening skills through opportunities to share and exchange ideas. Students will develop three aspects in particular: listening, taking turns to speak, and considering the perspective of others.
