Comparing Energies

  • Grade 5
  • Science and Technology
  • Understanding Earth and Space Systems

In this assignment, students explore two types of energy: renewable and non-renewable. Students then research and compare them. They use a chart to help with research. Students complete a coding project to understand how home automation technologies can help save energy.

Learning goals

  • I compare the characteristics of renewable and non-renewable energy based on research.
  • I run code and determine how coding and emerging technologies help in everyday situations.
